The first time I saw Isaiah Hawthorne of Tracy High was last year as a sophomore against Junior Ballard and Lathrop HS. Tracy and Lathrop matched up during a holiday tournament at West. Although Hawthorne was one of the younger guys on the team, he stood taller, lengthier, and was more athletic than anyone on the floor. With someone like Junior Ballard (avg 30PPG last season) in the game carrying his team, the attention was not so much on Isaiah, until towards the end of the 3rd Quarter he took one dribble in the half court set from the free throw line and almost posterized 2 defenders (he looked like KD). At that moment I knew he was going to be a problem.

Isaiah Hawthorne (2019 Tracy High)

2019 Hawthorne stands at 6’7 and played AAU with Team Arsenal this summer. After speaking briefly w/ KP (Director of Arsenal Basketball Club), he mentioned the amount of work Isaiah has put in and the improvements to his game. Hawthorne has a smooth jumper which was on full display at the Nor Cal Future Camp – and at the 8th Nor Cal Clash in August, he showed his dunk package is nothing short of nasty. Isaiah has picked up interest and offers from schools like University of Pacific, Sacramento State, University of Nevada, UC Davis, Weber State, University of Montana + more.

Hawthorne is one of the top 2019 in the State of CA…stay tuned for more – to keep up with Isaiah and the Tracy Bulldogs, follow¬†#CaliHoop on Twitter, Youtube, Instagram, or Facebook
